My year away:

Well, what can I say but what an amazing year. For those of you who don't know me, my name's Susannah and I have just spent a year in Millau, a charming town in the south of France. For me, my main reason for going on an exchange was to really master the French language and I can honestly say I have achieved that goal. Some of my highlights in France were seeing much of the south coast, getting involved in the community by joining the handball and kayaking sports team, learning the local dancing and jazz drumming for the Millau jazz combo. I also had such vastly different experiences within each of five different host families and apart from mastering the French language I can make the best crepes in the world- savoury or sweet!! I really have fallen in love with the romantic languages and will be going into third year French and first year Italian as well as completing a business degree at Victoria University this year.
